it was my birthday on thursday.
got a gorgeous Fujifilm camera, working on figuring it out. it is so so very lovely. also new headphones and two jackets so no more freezing or electrocuting my ears.
on friday celebrated with friends by going to Twisted, danced and partied.

my goal for this year is not to have the weird health problems that messed me up last year and took about seven months away from me doing anything productive. i went to the doctor about my headaches and awful immune system but it seems like there is no known cause or cure. so what i am going to try to do is: eat healthier and exercise and try to sleep a reasonable amount so that my physical health gets better, and occupy my time with art and work and activities because for me boredom causes weird hopeless feelings. i think i am doing better, i still have some symptoms but they don't seem to last as long.

sorry for that long and probably boring paragraph.

i submitted a poem to The Battered Suitcase a short while back and it looks like it will be appearing in their next issue! oh my goodness, this is honestly one of the most exciting things to happen to me ever ever ever. i would like to continue submitting poems for publication to books magazines websites etc, does anyone know some good places for this? i tried Grip magazine a while back because my friend recommended it but i didn't have a very good experience with one of the editors and long story short i'm pretty sure i'm blacklisted.
it's okay though, i get the feeling the kind of things i write are not really their style anyway.

redyeing my hair next week and getting it cut. same as last time pretty much, i'm not really at a place in my life where i want a drastic change.
