you write for your family
the kids who threw your backpack in the toilet
that one person
you think about
spending your life with
(and yeah, you're young, but
if this is real enough
to keep you awake
until your skin hums
and black sand tumbles
down you like a
crescendo
doesn't that
count for
something?]
and for your
imaginary
doctor.

and you keep the cover
tightly
shut

with "good" or "fine" or
i'm going for a walk
see you soon

because if they read
the words in the margins
like jagged teeth,

of their secret sadness.
sheet music and
memoir
,the softest
notes that
touch your
skin and
melt
;contact
intimate.
intricate
as clock
work. tick
of time
moving
towards.

waves tumbled over
my heroes, and they
burst into the surface
and filled their lungs
and won.

they walked into mist
and their silhouettes solidified
into the sharpest songs.
that etched dreamwork
into waking thoughts.

they wandered clear as stars,
saturated
with windsharp
night.

summer planssssss

okay so i don't really update here anymore.

most of my writing goes up at lovelyscentedghost.tumblr.com at this point

but i might come back in a while.

anyway, here is what i'm planning to do this summer:
-work
-japan for two weeks
-film a spoken word piece
-write poetry
-publish a chapbook with my poetry group
-get involved in slam poetry
-maybe europe???

lately i've been writing blackout poems every day and i'm really enjoying it.
